Charles Lee

MD, JD, MBA

Dr. Lee began his medical career in the U.S. Navy as a flight surgeon and, subsequently, Senior Medical Officer on an aircraft carrier. He then worked in the private sector as a radiologist for 20 years. During that time, he obtained his JD and MBA degrees. His introduction to correctional health care was as medical director for a male maximum security prison, where he oversaw the medical department, including medical, dental, mental health, and pharmacy operations. He has been a NCCHC physician surveyor for nearly 15 years and uses his myriad of knowledge in medicine, law, and business to assist jails, prisons, and juvenile facilities in improving health services. He is an active member and past president of the American College of Correctional Physicians.
